Lydia Kline attended boarding school at The Hockaday School in Dallas, TX and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a minor in Philosophy from The University of Southern California. She returned to Dallas to earn her Juris Doctorate from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and passed the State Bar of Texas in 2009.
While her initial legal career focused on corporate and energy law with some of the top firms in Dallas and Houston, Lydia found through her pro bono work with the Child Advocacy Clinic that her passion was in working with children and their families. This led her to Family Law, where she ultimately accepted a position as the Lead Visitation Enforcement Attorney with the Travis County Juvenile Probation Department in the Domestic Relations Division. Lydia found fulfillment helping families navigate what were often their most challenging times, always maintaining a focus on how best to protect the children involved in these difficult circumstances.
As an extension of this work, Lydia recognized through her own experiences that families have a similar need for guidance and protection in dealing with the complex and at times emotional process of preparing for death and its financial consequences. After providing these services to family and friends, she launched her Estate Planning firm in 2017 to help address this need for others.
Given the difficult and sensitive nature of this process, families often avoid these critical matters until circumstances force decisions to be made. By providing a customized approach, Lydia aims to help families address these needs proactively, avoiding crisis and providing peace of mind. Understanding first-hand the challenges of balancing business and personal obligations, she prioritizes the efficient use of her clients’ time by offering a streamlined paperwork process, flexible in-person meeting schedules based on real-life demands and support and advice via phone or email as convenient. Whether creating a basic will or addressing more complicated Estate Planning needs, Lydia’s goal is to make the process as easy as possible for her clients with a focus on professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
Lydia lives in Houston, Texas with her husband and two little boys. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, playing tennis and reading.
